Renewal of driving license in Telangana is to be done on the expiry of the original license i.e. after 20 years or on attaining the age of 50. An individual who wants to continue driving in public areas of Telangana can renew the DL by following the below mentioned process.
Documents required for renewal of driving license in Telangana:
• Application Form 9
• Permanent driving license
• Form 1 and Form 1A i.e. the medical certificate and physical fitness form
• Passport size photographs
• Application fee of Rs. 200; if applied after grace period, Rs. 300 plus additional fee of Rs. 1000 for every year of delay
• Age and address proof documents
Procedure to renew driving license in Telangana:
An application for renewal of driving license in Telangana can be done through www.aptransport.in or directly at the RTO. If applying online, the applicant can upload the documents online and can also submit the form online. Once the online application is processed, the applicant will have to visit the RTO for verification of the documents. The application for renewal of driving license can be made directly at the RTO by collecting and submitting the documents offline. Once the documents are verified, the applicant is issued the driving license on the same day.
