How Many Driving Licence Tests Are Conducted Each Day?

In order to cope with the growing demand for light motor vehicle driving licences in the city, the regional transport authority officials are readying four more exclusive driving test tracks, two at Nagole testing track will be ready in about 15 days.

According to RTA Officials, at present those who aspire For license have to wait for over a month to book a slot for driving test under the LMV category. At present, there are 18driving test tracks in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts. Out of the 18 tracks, driving test is being conducted at four tracks at Nagole, two at Kondapur and one track each at Medchal and Uppal.

On an average about 55 tests are conducted on each track every day. “Out of the 1,000 driving test applications received in city each day, about 650 belong to LMV category, “joint transport commissioner B Venkateshwarulu said. “Once the four new tracks become operational in two months time, LMV driving tests can be conducted as per the demand and reduce the waiting time, “he said. In addition, the RTA officials have asked the Ranga Reddy and the Hyderabad district collectors to identify government lands to have more driving test tracks.

There is hundreds of driving license tests are conducted by the RTO each day. Sometimes the number goes in THOUSANDS!

Having said that, The COVID-19 situation has surely reduced the daily count of driving license tests. But it’s been improving as the covid situations are getting better.
